The Moon is only about 40 minutes drive away

This was the view from Eddisbury Hill yesterday morning. Looks like those guys at Jodrell Bank have got the moon down there for a closer look.

Thanks for dropping by, Liz and Patsy. There is a wide panoramic view from up on Eddisbury Hill and the main landmarks are the two Liverpool cathedrals, the industrial complex along the Mersey estuary, and the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell bank. the telescope is visible in most conditions but I've never seen it looking quite as it did on Saturday. The was the dish was angled and the way it caught the sunlight made it look just like a crescent moon.
